Lara Trump’s tenure with Fox News has come to an end.
The wife of Eric Trump will no longer be a paid contributor to the network as her father-in-law, Donald Trump, runs again for president, a Fox News spokeswoman confirmed to the Daily News on Sunday.
“We appreciate Lara’s valuable contributions across Fox News Media programming,” the representative said in a statement.
The split is the result of a Fox News policy to not employ people involved with political campaigns, according to the Los Angeles Times, which first reported the move.
Lara Trump is believed to be leaving the network on good terms, according to the newspaper.
She started with Fox in March 2021 but hasn’t been on air since the ex-president announced his candidacy last month. She was a senior consultant during her father-in-law’s 2020 campaign.
Lara Trump, 40, had been a frequent guest on Fox News by the time she announced her contributor role last year.
“I sort of feel like I’ve been an unofficial member of the team for so long,” she said at the time on “Fox & Friends,” according to Deadline.
“You guys know, it was kind of a joke over the past five years, I would come there so often that the security guards were like, maybe we should just give you a key. So to be part of the team I am so, so excited.”
She married Eric Trump in 2014 and has a son and a daughter with him.
